Where It Started
Captain Jorge Holguin’s career was built through hands-on experience aboard some of the most respected motor yachts and sportfishing vessels operating throughout Florida and the Bahamas. Beginning as a first officer and mate on large yachts ranging from 90 to 112 feet, Jorge developed a deep understanding of vessel operations, engineering systems, navigation, and the level of hospitality expected in private yachting. Long passages, overnight runs, and extensive cruising throughout Florida, the Keys, and the Bahamas shaped his disciplined, detail-driven approach to vessel care.
Over time, Jorge progressed into full captaincy, assuming sole responsibility for multiple private yachts and fishing vessels. As captain and fleet manager, he oversaw all aspects of ownership—including passage planning, maintenance, crew management, accounting, and major shipyard periods—while operating year-round in Florida and internationally throughout the Bahamas. His experience managing new builds, large tenders, and complex operations gave him firsthand insight into the challenges yacht owners face.
This background ultimately led Captain Holguin to yacht management: a natural extension of his career focused on protecting owners’ investments, simplifying ownership, and ensuring vessels are maintained and operated to the highest standards. His approach is rooted in accountability, transparency, and the belief that exceptional yacht management begins with experienced leadership at the helm.
